Océanie Renaud

is an emerging artist, based in Montréal. She recently graduated from Concordia University, where she earned her BFA with a Specialization in Acting for the Theatre.

Growing up in a very artistic family, Océanie was introduced to the world of performing arts when she began dance lessons at the age of three. Training mainly in ballet and contemporary, she earned many opportunities: including training with Geneva Jenkins, Davi Rodrigues, taking classes at the Goh Ballet and dancing as a company member of Éclat Dance Youth Company for multiple seasons.

Océanie was convinced to dip her toes into the world of Theatre, in 2017, when she agreed to her sisters wishes: to audition for a production of Anne of Green Gables. She was immediately hooked. Her love of Theatre grew quickly. She involved herself in every way she could: from community theatre productions to the Canadian Improv Games.

Her passion for performing arts and her ambition to further her theatre training ultimately led her to move from small town BC to Montréal, where she continues to develop her craft as a performing artist and creator.

Océanie is passionate about telling provocative stories, finding beauty in the mundane and creating safe spaces for everyone to confront and question the pertinent issues we face as a society, through performance.
