“As I usually work in circus-theatre fusion, my approach is one that is by design more physical, visual, visceral. I am in much more of an abstract, metaphorical, painted image vocabulary than conventional narrative-based theatre. On top of that, the source material is itself a poem, so rooted more in the abstract, the figurative, as well. Not to mention the fusion with actual acrobatic elements that will bring a whole vertical dimension to the work quite different from most productions.” Shana Carroll
